Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠

I believe my role as an adviser is to listen to my clients’ unique situations and help them make smart financial decisions. Clients count on me as their fiduciary to help them make the right financial choices.

Erika joined the Rodgers & Associates team in 2011. It was her goal to advance within the company and she ultimately became a financial adviser in 2014. One of the most fulfilling aspects of her job is helping a client transition through difficult situations such as a loss of a spouse.

Erika believes one of the biggest challenges people face when transitioning from working to retirement is planning for the cost of healthcare. This is particularly difficult for those retiring before they are eligible for Medicare at age 65. There are government subsidies available to pay for healthcare, but only if income is below a certain threshold. Structuring income sources properly can make a huge difference for clients in this situation. Not all advisory firms focus on income efficiency like Rodgers & Associates. Erika has encountered situations where clients were sold investment products which negatively affected their taxes and ability to ultimately reach their goals.

Erika has an Associate of Arts degree in Business Management and 10 years of experience in the banking industry. She was born, raised, and currently resides in Lancaster County with her daughter Olivia. When she is not helping her clients make smart financial decisions, she loves to be somewhere warm surrounded by water. The Outer Banks in North Carolina is a favorite beach destination. Erika also enjoys reading and cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Erika explains the importance of having a financial plan.
